If you are taking both Conflict Coaching and Mediation Training, you must complete the following pre-course assignments:

Pre-Course Reading. 

• Read The Peacemaker by Ken Sande.  This resource is helpful for understanding a foundational biblical theology of resolving conflict and is the basis for all training through Peacemaker Ministries.

Self-Study.  When you register for Conflict Coaching and Mediation Training, you will be sent the Mediation Self-Study Manual and the Mediation Self-Study CD's. .  Please prayerfully and thoughtfully:

• Listen to the CD's while reading and reviewing the Mediation Self-Study Manual.
• Complete the Personal Peacemaking Self-Application Study. (If you have completed the Small Group Study, this is not required. See Recommended Learning below)

Recommended Learning.  In advance of the Conflict Coaching and Mediation Training, please consider:

• Participating in a Peacemaker Small Group Study.  This type of participation will thoroughly ground you in personal peacemaking and help prepare you to more effectively engage conflict in a God-honoring way.  If a Small Group Study is not offered in your church, you might consider approaching your church leadership to seek permission about starting one.  The Small Group Study can be ordered through our online bookstore.  If you complete the Small Group Study before the event, it is not necessary for you to complete the Personal Peacemaking Self-Application Study.
